Octopost + Windsurf

Octopost is a social media MCP server. Add it to Windsurf and your agent can post to X, write native threads, schedule posts and hold them for your approval. Octopost is live on X; other networks are on the roadmap.

1. 1. Start a plan and connect X

   Sign up (7 days for $1, then $29 a month), then connect your X account on the accounts page.

2. 2. Copy your API key

   It starts with op_ and lives on the API keys page.

3. 3. Add Octopost to Windsurf

   Add this to ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json:

   Replace op_YOUR_API_KEY with your key.

4. 4. Try it

   Ask your agent:

   • “List my Octopost accounts.”
   • “Queue a post to X about today's release and hold it for my approval.”
   • “Turn these release notes into a 3-post X thread and schedule it for 9am tomorrow.”
