Octopost + claude.ai

Octopost is a social media MCP server. Add it to claude.ai and your agent can post to X, write native threads, schedule posts and hold them for your approval. Octopost is live on X; other networks are on the roadmap.

  1. 1. Start a plan and connect X

Sign up (7 days for $1, then $29 a month), then connect your X account on the accounts page.

  2. 2. Add Octopost to claude.ai and sign in

claude.ai > Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector. Connectors added here also show up in Claude Desktop and the Claude mobile apps.

    https://octopost.ink/mcp
    1. Open Settings > Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
    2. Name it Octopost and paste https://octopost.ink/mcp as the URL. Leave the OAuth client fields empty.
    3. Click Connect. An Octopost page opens: sign in if asked, check the account, and click Allow.
    4. In a chat, open the + menu below the message box, then Connectors, and switch Octopost on.

No key to copy: claude.ai signs in to Octopost (OAuth) and stays connected.

On Team and Enterprise plans an owner may need to add the connector for the organization first.

  3. 3. Try it

    Ask your agent:

    • “List my Octopost accounts.”
    • “Queue a post to X about today's release and hold it for my approval.”
    • “Turn these release notes into a 3-post X thread and schedule it for 9am tomorrow.”

If it doesn't connect

  • The sign-in window didn't open, or it says the app isn't registered: remove the Octopost connector and add the URL again.
  • 401 Unauthorized with a key: the key is missing, mistyped, revoked, or not sent as Authorization: Bearer op_.... The error message names which.
  • “Your Octopost plan is not active”: finish the $1 trial checkout on the billing page.
  • “No twitter account connected”: connect X on the accounts page.

Other clients

Any other MCP client: add https://octopost.ink/mcp as a remote (Streamable HTTP) server and sign in, or send Authorization: Bearer op_.... Full reference: MCP docs.
